Dr. Michael Cerni

Medical Director & Master Injector

Dr. Michael Cerni is the founder and Medical Director of Physicians Center for Renewal. An Allergan-certified master injector with over 35 years of experience, Dr. Cerni stays abreast of the latest techniques for applying dermal fillers and neuromodulators for facial rejuvenation. Dr. Michael Cerni is an incredibly skilled injector with a keen understanding of facial anatomy and aesthetics.

What truly distinguishes Dr. Cerni is his dedication to individualized cosmetic treatments. He listens to each patient’s individual concerns to curate personalized treatment plans. He has been named by the Orange County Business Journal as one of the “Top Family Owned Businesses” in Newport Beach and Laguna Niguel. And his medical spa has the honor of being one of the top 10 Allergan providers in the country.

Dr. Michael Cerni and his wife Zara are long-time residents of Laguna Niguel, California. He recently completed work on his first novel, God’s Favorites.

Shauna Wheeler, (RN)

Nurse Shauna Wheeler, has 12 years of experience and recently moved from Los Angeles to Orange County. She splits her time as an injector from her hometown of Palm Springs to Orange County.

Shauna moved from LA and worked at Cedars Sinai as a Cardiac and Trauma Nurse. She worked at SkinLab in Palm Desert as an injector and Laser RN.

She is now injecting on Mondays and Thursdays here with Physicians Center for Renewal.

From Trauma Nurse to an Aesthetic, Nurse Shauna’s focus is making her patients feel their most beautiful self with every injection and treatment.

Zara Cerni, BA, CAC I-V

Certified Aesthetic Consultant & Patient Liaison

Zara Cerni, is currently the aesthetic director and patient liaison at Physicians Center For Renewal, which she co-founded with Dr. Michael Cerni 10 years ago. As a certified aesthetic consultant, Zara combines nutrition and lifestyle modifications with cutting-edge aesthetic procedures to optimize health, wellness, and appearance.

In addition to aesthetics, Zara holds certification from the Inflammation Foundation in Anti-Inflammatory Nutrition, founded by Dr. Barry Sears, author of “The Zone.” A significant part of Zara’s outreach includes lecturing with her husband Michael, providing the latest breakthrough trends in healthy lifestyle and fitness.

Zara has been published in Newport Beach Lifestyle Magazine, Orange County Magazine, Coto de Caza Magazine, and Ladera Ranch Magazine.

Kirsten Bone

Office Coordinator

Kirsten Bone, graduated from California State University Fullerton where she received her Bachelors degree in Communications, with an emphasis in Public Relations. She went on to join Novartis Pharmaceuticals where she worked as a pharmaceutical representative in the Urology and Dermatology divisions. Kirsten enjoys interfacing with patients and assisting Dr. Cerni, NP Joanna and PA Jennifer in various aspects of the practice.

She resides in Newport Beach with her husband and two children.
